Human Hair

Hair additions made with human hair are ideal for those who would like to achieve the most natural look possible due to the way the hair falls and the natural shine.

Human hair additions can be styled, straightened and curled. The hair can be cut and dyed to achieve your desired result (we recommend this is carried out by a professional hair stylist).

It is important that human hair additions are properly cared for to prevent drying and frizzing of the hair. As the hair is no longer benefitting from the natural oils from a ‘live’ head, it is prone to drying out and requires regular moisturising and intensive treatments. We recommend our human hair care products which have been specifically designed and formulated for human hair toppers, extensions and wigs. These products will help to maintain the luxurious, silky feel of the hair and won’t cause damage to the cap construction.

Our human hair additions are available in several different hair types:-

Remy Human Hair

Remy hair is human hair that has been collected from either a single donor or various donors. In most cases the donors are from China or India unless otherwise stated. The hair has undergone some processing. The hair cuticles have been aligned, ensuring that they are all facing in the same direction, as they would if they had grown naturally from the scalp. This results in soft, silky and tangle free hair.

Non-Remy Human Hair

Non-Remy human hair (sometimes called 100% human hair) is hair that has been collected from various donors and has undergone processing.

 Both the roots and the tips of the hair are mixed up meaning the hair cuticles are not all running in the same direction. In order to prevent friction and tangling the hair is processed to remove part of the cuticle. This makes the hair more prone to dryness and regular deep conditioning treatments are required.

Virgin Human Hair

Virgin hair is the best and highest quality hair on the market. It has not been chemically treated or altered by dyes, perms, bleaches, or harsh washes meaning the hair is sold in its original colour and texture. It is collected from a single donor (usually Indian, Chinese, Brazilian or European). The hair cuticles are aligned and facing in the same direction as how they have grown naturally from the scalp. This results in top quality soft, silky and tangle free hair. The hair does undergo some gentle cleaning prior to being used to make hair additions, extensions and wigs but this does not affect the high quality of the hair.

Brazilian Human Hair

Brazilian hair is hair that has been collected from donors who are of Brazilian origin. It is known for its full body, beautiful bounce, texture and versatility. This hair has a shiny appearance and feel. It is typically soft, relatively thick and very durable. For this reason the hair is suited to any style- straight, wavy or curly. Due to its natural density the hair is also less likely to frizz.

'Brazilian style' hair is hair that may not be of Brazilian origin but has been graded to be very similar to Brazilian hair in its quality. 

European Human Hair

European hair is hair that has been collected from donors who’s origin is a European country. In most cases the hair is Russian. Each strand is finer in diameter in comparison to the typical Indian, Chinese and Brazilian hair types making it a popular choice for those wanting to achieve a finer haired Caucasian look. The hair cuticles have been aligned, ensuring that they are all facing in the same direction, as they would if they had grown naturally from the scalp. This results in soft, silky and tangle free hair.

'European style' hair is hair that may not be of European origin but has been graded to be very similar to European hair in its quality. 

Mongolian Human Hair

Mongolian hair is hair that been collected from a donors who's origin is Mongolian. It is very similar to European hair in quality and diameter. The hair cuticles have been aligned, ensuring that they are all facing in the same direction, as they would if they had grown naturally from the scalp. This results in soft, silky and tangle free hair.

'Mongolian style' hair is hair that may not be of Mongolian origin but has been graded to be very similar to Mongolian hair in its quality. 

Russian Human Hair

Russian hair is hair that been collected from a donors who's origin is Russia. It is very similar to European hair in quality and diameter. The hair cuticles have been aligned, ensuring that they are all facing in the same direction, as they would if they had grown naturally from the scalp. This results in soft, silky and tangle free hair.

'Russian style' hair is hair that may not be of Russian origin but has been graded to be very similar to Russian hair in its quality. 

Slavic Human Hair

Slavic hair is hair that been collected from donors who's origin is Central and Eastern Europe, such as Russia, Belarus and Ukraine. It is very similar to European hair in quality and diameter. The hair cuticles have been aligned, ensuring that they are all facing in the same direction, as they would if they had grown naturally from the scalp. This results in soft, silky and tangle free hair.

'Slavic style' hair is hair that may not be of Slavic origin but has been graded to be very similar to Slavic hair in its quality. 

Synthetic & Heat Resistant Synthetic

Hair additions made with synthetic and heat resistant synthetic hair are more realistic looking than they have ever been! Advancements in technology, colour blends and styles means that a realistic look can be achieved and it has become harder to distinguish between synthetic hair and human hair. Our team has carefully selected pieces that give the most realistic look.

Synthetic hair additions are ‘ready to wear’ as they are pre-styled when they are made and retain their original look and shape after washing. Synthetic fibres cannot tolerate high heat so cannot be styled with high heat tools.

Heat resistant synthetic hair additions can be styled, curled and straightened, unlike regular synthetic hair. It can withstand heat up to 175°c (350° F), however, we recommend working at 130°c-135°c (270°-280° F).

Heat resistant synthetic hair tends not to have the same level of shine as regular synthetic hair due to the processing it goes through. 

The hair can be cut to achieve your desired result (we recommend this is carried out by a professional hair stylist). It cannot be dyed.
